Wedding: Botanic Gardens Sydney in Sydney, Australia

Their Botanic Gardens Sydney wedding in New South Wales, Australia was on a beautiful March day. We took getting ready photos at a nearby Airbnb and made our way toward the Botanic Gardens in downtown Sydney. After the ceremony, we took photos with the Sydney Opera House in the background and walked toward the Andrew Boy Charlton Pool Cafe for their reception.

10 years of love.

My perspective will definitely veer more towards the guys so bare with me:

Tom, the sibling relationship you have with your two brothers is very similar to mine.
They are the very reason I am the way I am.
Everything they shared about you and their mannerisms as siblings were spot on.
All the jokes; the brotherly love.
Somehow, in that one day, you made me miss my brothers (which doesn’t happen often lol).
So thank you for that quick reminder 😛

But what Shirman shared about you at the reception made sense to me,
“Tom is the type of optimist where on a rainy day, he thinks,
‘What if today is someone’s wedding day? I wouldn’t want them to have this weather.'”

Congratulations on becoming an uncle on the same day ????????????

This wedding was exciting to me. It was the first to work with Whitelane Studios and a wedding in Sydney Australia. The beautiful beaches of Sydney are some of the best aspects of the area. It reminded me of Southern California and its incredible beachside culture. Think, Laguna beach San Diego Santa Monica. The guys and the groom got their day started at Emporium Barber in Bondi Beach in Sydney New South Wales. g10/180 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach NSW 2026, Australia.

They had their beards shaven and hair cuts. It was a quick 30 minute appointment and we made our way from Bondi beach to a nearby airbnb in the area. One of the groomsmen was missing. It was the brother of the groom. He was in the hospital earlier in the day because his wife gave birth to their son that morning. The groom became a uncle that day. What a beautiful surprise. The preparations were being made and the gentlemen slowly got ready. It seems to me that Aussie weddings are much more relaxed and laid back. I slowly got to know the grooms family and his friends and all of them were very often and receptive. I was immediately treated like family. The groom celebrated their Sydney wedding by drinking some japanese whiskey to celebrate the wedding day and the birth of his new nephew.

Preparations were being made and we made our way from Bondi to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. The venue is incredible. Royal Botanic Gardens is directly next to the Sydney Harbour and the Harbor is hosts the Sydney Opera House. There were a plethora of locations that we could take photo at. I’m extremely jealous of the all wedding photographers in this area as it is the hub of different types of landscapes architecture history and views. There is nothing comparable to the Sydney area so I cant explain what its like. You should visit Sydney and its amazing culture.

Botanic Gardens Sydney Wedding New South Wales Australia

The ceremony started a little bit behind schedule but thats any wedding. The bride arrived at Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens and the show was on the road. The celebrant shared their story their vows and their promise to make each other happy. The couple recently moved from the Sydney area to Hong Kong for work and so they wanted to incorporate Sydney into their wedding as this was where they spent the majority of their relationship and friendship. They had a wonderful and gorgeous ceremony under the summer Australian sun. It was rather cool in comparison to what it could have been. Their wedding was short and sweet and we were off to doing family photos during the cocktail hour. The new south wales wedding was a great and after the family formals we were off to doing the bridal photoshoot.

The bride told me she wanted this venue because its iconic Sydney and it would be a cool venue. She tried looking up places and in the end googled this location as it hosts weddings and events. It was definitely a great decision as it accommodated for all of that. We took some nice photo by the pool by the water. We also had some bridal party shots by the pool as well. The other side of the poolside cafe has some bricks areas that we felt were a good different mix of lighting and feel.

The reception was gorgeous. String lights were set on the dock and reception space. It was your perfect summer time wedding in Sydney. Speeches were presented and the cake was cut. It was a very emotional day. Lots to tears were shed and hugs were passed around. We danced the rest of the night away.
