I always encourage couples to do an engagement session.
This session provides you all the opportunity to tell a little bit about your story – where you met, the places you enjoy together, meaningful mementos, pets, or showcasing what makes your relationship unique.
I am very open to creative ideas as well~!
If I am booked as your wedding photographer, these sessions will also help break the ice and provide good practice for your wedding day.

The photos you receive can be used for anything.
Most couples decide to use their engagement photos as their save the dates.
I’ve had a couple create a save the date in the form of a Hollywood RomCom movie poster – think Nicholas Sparks – I was impressed~!

Sessions range from about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours.
Best time to photograph is at sunrise or sunset.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I deliver about 200-300 photographs. I typically overdeliver 🙂

I typically deliver photos 1-2 weeks after the engagement session.
Previews for social media will be sent within 1-2 days of the engagement session.

Sure thing! Just let me know and I can send a few galleries depending on your type of engagement location and time of day.

I accept check, paypal, or venmo!
Full payment is made on the day of or after.

No prior deposit required to book.

For these engagement sessions, I say that anything that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
Formal wear would probably be best for fitted.
Here are a few of my recommended sites / inspirations:

My biggest suggestion is to pick a location that fits your character.

If you two aren’t comfortable to show public displays of affection, I’d suggest somewhere away from people. If you have a place that is special to you like a first date location, the proposal location, or any place that has a lot of memories attached to it, that works as well! If you’re someone who loves seasons, let’s try to schedule something with the appropriate weather and mood. High traffic areas are probably best during sunrise. This goes mainly for cities and touristy locations.

I typically like to photograph during sunrise or sunset.
I photograph these sessions with natural light since I receive the best type of light and there is a nice glow from the sun.

Copyrights are there for legal purposes. I do retain the copyright as I want to be able to protect myself and you from any 3rd parties using the photos without our permission.

In terms of my own personal viewpoint, I want to share the photos – I have nothing holding me back from doing so – and you should be able to freely use them 🙂
I give full personal printing rights with all of my images.

You can also order professional prints through my online gallery store.

Yep, all of the photos are edited for color and exposure!

Generally, no.
Sometimes blemishes and such occur from stress so I understand.
Those can be taken out for sure.

A LA CARTE

How does the a la carte system work?

Essentially, all products are side items.
You decide on things such as prints and albums – you are not obligated to go through me.

You still have access to download all the images at their full resolution without any watermarks and print on your own.

Print orders can be done online through the online gallery.
On the other hand, the album creation process will be done with me.
This allows for personalization, as well as, a simpler album creation process.
The album won’t be made until your final approval.
