Their Merimbula Wedding in New South Wales Australia took place in March. The ceremony was on a hill and overlooked the beach. We moved toward their relatives residence for the reception.

Please don’t mind me, I’m going to free write:
This wedding was the last of my 2-month journey around Asia / Oceania.

If someone asked me
“What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done in life?”
This would be it.

I know a lot of you were asking a lot of questions:
“WTF are you doing out there?”
“Are you coming back?”
“How much better is it over there vs the States?”

After not fully explaining myself to you all, I hope these photos showcase what I was up to.
Honestly, I fell in love with Australia – and I was trying to find any reason to go back.

It was probably the most foolish thing I’ve ever done, but I truly think it was necessary to start off my 2018 wedding season by making this trip.
I had not been a 2^nd photographer for about 5 years – so this was a little new to me.
A lot of my perspective on weddings were inspired on this trip.
All my 2018 couples know what’s up 😛

Anyway, I’m sure a lot of you need some questions answered:
I had the great opportunity to work with Sarah Godenzi on this Merimbula wedding.

All of this transpired through some random Instagram messages and e-mails back in 2016 when I was trying to get connected with some locals (long story – I won’t bore you with my life lol).
I don’t know how you trusted me Sarah, but it says a lot about you to embrace someone so easily.
After about a year of contact, she invited me to photograph Ben + Ash’s Merimbula wedding with her.

I don’t think it rained hard enough lol

She loves dogs and her pup, Kerm, is absolutely the cutest.

Sarah, I am super grateful for the amazing experience, not just in photography, but taking me in and just hanging out together and showing me around Melbourne / Victoria.

I promise to make it up to you and next time, we will find a N64 controller somewhere so we can play Mario Kart <3
