Wedding: The Inn At Willow Grove in Orange, Virginia
Their The Inn At Willow Grove Wedding in Virginia started in the early morning on a April day. The preparations, ceremony, and reception all took place there. We were able to witness and photograph an epic sunset.
More of the story below!
Megan and Harry – where do I start?!
I was so excited to photograph your wedding.
I remember our skype call then meeting in person back in July 2017.
It was a super-hot and we got drinks and talked shop.
Thank you for acknowledging my, “is it just me, or does Harry look like Ryan Gosling?”
The kicker was the Mexican restaurant we found and the random downpour of rain that occurred.
“Let’s pray that this doesn’t say anything about the weather on your wedding day”

Come April 2018.
I photographed a wedding the day before in New Jersey.
Yes, it was a great decision.
To this day, maybe the best decision.
I drove down to Orange, Virginia – about a 5 hour drive – amped up on coffee and red bull – not knowing what to expect.
Megan and the bridesmaids gave me the most glorious greeting I’ve ever.
“JUSTINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN~!!! JUSTIN! JUSTIN~! JUSTIN~!!!”
“What did I get myself into…”
I went over to see the gentlemen and the intensity continued, “DUDES, DUDES, DUDES~!!”
*Facepalm*
I’ll let Megan’s explanation take over from here.
I’m sure that will be more informative and relevant lol.

Our wedding ceremony is going to be super dope. Our good friend from college, Michael, will be officiating. He’s a former high school English teacher and one of the most well read and eloquent human beings either of us have ever known.
So, as previously stated, it’s going to be super dope! We hired a blue grass 4-piece string band who will play during the ceremony, and my cousin will accompany them for a song during the beginning of the ceremony while the families are seated and bridal party processes.
As you know, Harry and I are very casual folks so we’re going for an elevated but laid back, polished vibe. We did our best to simplify all of the logistics, and it’s great that all of the events will be taking place at The Inn At Willow Grove Wedding.
The staff there has been so accommodating, and I know we’ll be in good hands come April~!
We’ve rented some really dope vintage furniture for the Ruins area where dessert/drinks/dancing will go down and I’m so excited to see my vision come to life. We’re got a few fun personalized items like cocktail napkins, coozies, and signs for the back of our bride/groom chair that read “same team” 🙂
We’re also sneaking in a few surprises for our bridal party including a cocktail toast in the Pub after the ceremony! Since we’re doing a beer/wine bar for the night, we wanted to treat our bridal party to a little cocktail before we join the rest of the party – it will be a fun way to have a moment of celebration with them away from the rest of the wedding.
Harry and I have been practicing a choreographed dance for our first dance to the song “I can’t believe you’re in love with me” by Billie Holiday. Of all of the amazing things that will happen on this day, I think Harry and I are both looking forward to dancing THE MOST!
First, kicking off the dance party with a lovely dance, and then busting a moveeeeee with all of our friends and family!
Also, our wedding cake is funfetti.
BOOM.
ALSO, our dog, a 10 year old golden retriever is going to be our flower dog!!
