Engagement Photos: Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC
Their engagement photos took place at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. It was a cold February morning. We were extremely lucky with sunrise that morning – as it warmed up everyone’s bodies. Thanks for working through the cold temperatures; I would say it was well worth it.
When we arrived, there were only a few people there. Some photographers and a few people waiting for sunrise on the steps. It was the ideal setting and we had the perfect light come in for the engagement session. We got to know each other throughout the photoshoot. I learned they both came to the Washington DC area for school and met through mutual friends in college. They have been together for quite some time so the chemistry was easy to see. They stated they would be moving out of the area shortly so they wanted to take photos in DC, where they met and where their story began.
During our session, we spoke about how COVID is affecting the wedding industry and how the culture of weddings this past year had changed due to the pandemic. As with many couples, they are still considering the options of doing a smaller wedding or having a bigger wedding in 2022 when restrictions at their wedding venue is open to more guests.
Here are a few images from their Lincoln Memorial engagement session.
