Engagement: Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort in West Virginia
Their Snowshoe Engagement Photos in West Virginia started in the early morning on a February day. We took some photos at the on our way to snowshoe and made our way to the peak for sunset.
So… since I’m photographing their wedding tomorrow, I thought it might be a good idea to post some photos from their Snowshoe Engagement photos session from this past February.
It started with a lovely email from Jennifer asking about engagement photos and I responded with a question about a location they had in mind.
“Our number 1 spot would be West Virginia. I’m not sure how you feel about traveling that far.
It’s about a 4 hour drive from DC depending on traffic, of course.
The main reason for this spot is that Luke’s (the fiance) family is from there.
It’s a special place for us both.”
My reply was pretty short – something like, ‘yaaaassss’ since she said something about spending a weekend out of town
(Let’s be honest, I needed a vacation already by that time lol)
in a cabin / lodge and getting away and having casual photos taken.
I’m so glad you responded this way. Luke and I had discussed this actual plan!
I just didn’t want to scare you off or overwhelm you with the thought of coming to West Virginia for a weekend.
The lodge has plenty of room, and we would love for you to stay.
I’m so glad you are so willing to do this!!
And this is typically where I overthink and think I’m going to get sacrificed and something like Friday the 13th will happen.
Then I learned Jennifer is from the south;
its just her southern hospitality showing and taking everyone in like family.
Thank you two for treating me to a lovely weekend and I can’t wait to party it up with you tomorrow~!
It’s going to be LITTTTTTTTT~!
I’m sure there will be a lot of tears and laughter.
I’m so happy for you two <3 <3 <3
PS: Glad I didn’t die… maybe I’ll be sacrificed at the wedding tomorrow.
